Family history & ancestors
Stories, timelines, and documents about where we came from: villages, cities, churches, and the journeys that shaped our name.
Roots in the old world, branches in the new.
A family story of faith, migration, and many small acts of love across generations.
The Zvorygin family traces its roots to Eastern Europe, with ancestors who lived for generations in villages shaped by faith, land, and community.
In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, some of us began a new chapter in Canada, bringing with us language, stories, and a desire to build rooted lives in a new place.
Over time, the Zvorygin family has grown into many branches. This site is a place to honour our elders, introduce younger generations, and share the paths we’re walking now.
Stories, timelines, and documents about where we came from: villages, cities, churches, and the journeys that shaped our name.
Writings, interviews, projects, and transcripts that grow out of our family roots into questions of land, energy, faith, and community.
A space for cousins, in-laws, and kin by marriage – because family is bigger than one surname.
This site will gradually gather memories, letters, photographs, audio, and new work created by family members.
If you share the Zvorygin name, or are connected to the family by marriage or story, you’re welcome here.
If you’d like to share a memory, a scanned document, or a story for the archive, please reach out through the contact page.
